Privacy Policy

MemoryPals is built for kids and families. We designed it to collect as little as possible: no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no selling of anyone's information — ever.

Who we are

MemoryPals is an independent app made in Toronto, Canada. You can reach us any time at hello@memorypals.app.

No account, and your data is yours

MemoryPals has no sign-up and no login. Your themes, cards, scores, and saved games are stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud, which only you can access. We do not run a server that stores your personal content, and we cannot see it.

Making cards with AI

When you create a theme with AI, here is exactly what happens:

To keep things kid-appropriate, the words used for AI generation are checked by automated safety filters before any image is made, and images added to your decks are scanned on your device.

Photos and camera

If you choose to make a deck from photos or the camera, those images are used only to create your cards and are stored in your own iCloud. Photo decks are private — they are never shared publicly and never uploaded to us.

Playing with other people

You only ever play with people you personally invite — over a FaceTime call or with a private invite code. There is no stranger matchmaking, no discovery, and no public search anywhere in the app. Online games are not saved on any server; when a game ends, it's gone.

No ads. No tracking. No analytics that identify you.

MemoryPals shows no advertising, includes no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and does not build a profile of you or your child. We never sell or rent anyone's information.

Children's privacy

MemoryPals is designed to be safe for young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and grown-up actions (such as any purchase) are kept behind a parental gate. Because we don't have accounts and don't track users, there is no behavioral advertising or profiling of kids.
